A screenwriter, producer, and novelist with over ten million books sold in France alone, Maxime Chattam has been masterfully unsettling readers for the past twenty years. A former criminology student and avid role-playing game enthusiast, he is a prominent member of La Ligue de l’Imaginaire. Throughout his career, Chattam has nurtured a boundless fascination with the human psyche, specifically its darkest and most hidden corners.
With his latest novel, 8,2 secondes, becoming an instant bestseller and the terrifying thriller Le Signal recently adapted into a major series, Chattam will join us to discuss his relationship with television and the bone-chilling narratives that define the genre.
This year, he also serves as the patron of our immersive exhibition-event: “Même pas peur ! La passion des méchants” (Not Even Scared! The Passion for Villains), which you can venture into –if you dare! – at the Village Festival by Crédit Mutuel.
