NOT EVEN SCARED : The Passion for the vilains
Don’t miss the new Séries Mania exhibition at the Village Festival by Crédit Mutuel, running from March 20 to 27!
Do you love getting chills in front of your screen? Confronting your fears and phobias through villains ? Supernatural, murderous, or just unfair, they’re often the ones we love to hate.
From childhood onward, TV series have schooled us in fear. They walked with us through early frights, teenage terrors, and adult obsessions—shaping us into everyday heroes of courage. Yet why have we sometimes been so captivated that we could spend hours staring at these wicked beings?
From Scooby-Doo’s masked villains to the bone-chilling figures of Dahmer, Dexter, or Hannibal, from Spike (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) to Vecna (Stranger Things),the exhibition takes visitors on a sensory and narrative journey that will give you goosebumps
And this year, for the first time, the exhibition welcomes a patron: bestselling author Maxime Chattam, a master of chills, thrilling investigations, and sleepless nights! The writer behind The Evil Trilogy, the Anotherworld series, and the hair-raising 8.2 Seconds will accompany visitors through the exhibition, sharing his insights on his favorite obsession: fear in all its shapes and forms.
So, are you brave enough to come ?

an immersive and interactive experience
Throughout the journey, interactive installations invite visitors to engage. You can put your head into a villain’s scream box, play a life‑sized series-themed quiz, or even build Lego mosaics inspired by your favorite villains.
Shaped like an immense labyrinth, the exhibition is composed of differents themed spaces. Rooms dedicated to serial killers, the fears of childhood and adolescence, or villains from the world of politics.
The exhibition will be in French only.
